| Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Provider Contracting Duties: o Prepare and process finalized provider Agreements, Exhibits, Amendments, Temporary Letters of Agreement, and Memorandum of Understandings. o Negotiate and process Letters of Agreements based upon company requirement. o Obtain complete provider credentialing information from providers based upon company requirement. o Coordinate with VP, Client Relations in the development and implementation of provider networks. o Maintain established provider networks and monitor status of pending providers. 2. Operational Duties: o Coordinate all provider contracting and re-contracting efforts with VP, Client Relations. o Assist in the compilation and preparation of information packets to be presented at various meetings. o Provide support to VP, Client Relations with special projects. 3. Provider/Client Relations Duties: o Provide telephonic support and answer provider??s questions regarding reimbursement, contract language, payor affiliation and credentialing requirements. o Provide telephonic support and answer client questions regarding provider database set-up, contract load status, contract receipt, etc. 4. Maintenance of Provider Information Duties: o Maintain provider contract folders including creating and filing. Distribute information regarding contracts (including fee schedules), capitation and terminations to appropriate internal departments. o Send updates to payors, clients and internal departments regarding changes in provider information and/or status. o Process all changes in provider information in EyeManager2, including address, phone and/or facsimile number, Tax I.D. number, provider enrollment status, etc. o Add provider demographic data including contract status in EyeManager2. o Distribute updated provider rosters to payors, clients and providers as required. Qualifications: o High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. o Knowledge of medical terminology and at least 2 months experience within a managed care, health plan or health care environment, preferred. Vision plan experience a plus. o PC skills and typing of 35-40 wpm. o Basic knowledge of office equipment. o Must be a team player with a professional attitude, pleasant demeanor and the capability to work independently and problem solve. o Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, a must. o Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as contracts, procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and write routine reports and correspondence. o We prefer candidates with the aptitude to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, whose skill sets includes common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. |
